A Classic British Christmas Break

Come and spend your Xmas Break in our lovely Victorian Country House Hotel, where you can relax and let our excellent staff deal with the stressful preparations for Christmas. Last year's breaks sold out very quickly, so book early to secure your place.

The leisurely programme that we have planned for your Christmas Break will leave you free to enjoy the peace of our beautiful Herefordshire countryside. There are many walks and places of interest in the area and we will be pleased to help plan a day out for you.

 

Christmas Eve, 24th December

Arrive in the afternoon and enjoy a warming glass of mulled wine and a brandied mince pie in our cosy bar with it’s roaring log fire and beamed ceiling. After a relaxing afternoon, with perhaps, a stroll in the grounds or along the nearby country lanes, join us in the bar for canapés and a pre-dinner cocktail and meet your fellow guests before we move into the restaurant for a candlelit a la carte meal.

Christmas Day, 25th December

In the morning a full English breakfast, Bucks Fizz and a gift from the hotel and staff awaits you in the restaurant, where you can enjoy the superb views of the parkland and Golden Valley beyond.

The rest of the morning can be spent reading one of the complimentary newspapers in the lounge or taking one of the circular walks that start from outside the hotel. Christmas lunch is an elegant 4-course meal with something to tempt every palette. After the feast why not enjoy a quiet read or board game in the lounge or for the more energetic a walk around the surrounding lanes.

In the evening there will be a buffet which is eaten at your leisure.

Boxing Day, 26th December

A late Brunch will be served in the restaurant and bar leaving you free for the rest of the day to visit some local attractions such as the quaint market town of Ross-on-Wye or the Hereford Cathedral where the world famous Mappa Mundi is housed.

On your return there will be a delicious afternoon tea of homemade scones and fresh cream served in the lounge and bar.

A candlelit four course farewell dinner will then be served in the restaurant between 7.00 – 9.00pm.

27th and 28th December

After a hearty full English breakfast we bid a fond farewell to some of our guests. For those who are remaining, in the evening we will be serving a candlelit a la carte meal in the restaurant.

and are based on 2 adults sharing:

Please Note:
Prices are per person sharing, a few rooms will be made available for single occupancy and a supplement of £25 per night will apply. A non-refundable deposit of £100 per room is due at the time of booking and full payment is due 6 weeks prior to arrival. We recommend that all guests take out travel insurance to cover the package cost.
