Walking Holidays in the Wye Valley
There are many circular walks starting from the front door of the hotel which is an ideal base for a walking holiday and for the more adventurous, the world famous Wye Valley Walk is a short distance away. The Herefordshire countryside is scattered with welcoming pubs, which provide excellent fayre for the weary walker. The Herefordshire Trail passes within a few feet of the Hotel and provides some fantasic views of the County as you wend along it's path. The ever popular Herefordshire Walking Festival has been scheduled for June 2009. This year over 1400 walkers enjoyed the week.
The Royal Forest of Dean is less than 25 minutes away, as is Symonds Yat Rock, the Jubilee Maze, Monmouth and Ross on Wye. Our sister Hotel in Wales is only 25 miles away across the border in beautiful Monmouthshire and is right on the Usk Valley walk, a 48 mile stroll through the lovely Welsh Borders.
